Best Bosch Tankless Water Heater Reviews
Bosch is a very well known name when it comes to manufactured goods and they make only good quality products. In fact Bosch products, even while being expensive, are such that they last a lifetime. In fact the only reason why Bosch still sells sizable numbers of their products although they are so expensive is because of their reliability.
When it comes to water heaters, Bosch says that if you get one of their tankless models, it will probably be the last one that you will ever need. Coming from some other manufacturer, this may seem corny but from Bosch it is very probably true. The burners are made of solid stainless steel while the heat exchangers are of copper. The outer casing is also made of aluminium and plastic, and all their plastic parts are made to last. It also comes with a 12 yr warranty, the longest among water heaters.
Bosch comes with both gas as well as electricity powered heaters although their gas powered ones are the more preferred. This is obviously because of the savings in power. Especially when used with natural gas, you will spend up to 50% less on your power bills.
Top Selling Bosch Water Heaters
Bosch AquaStar 125 series
This is their most selling model because it is not too expensive at around $650. Although the flow rate is not very high and is just enough for single usage, it is still a good option, especially in small households. You can have one shower running, or one machine on with this heater. If you live in an apartment then this heater is probably the best option for you. You will get the Bosch reliability while at the same time having a heater that will take care of most of your needs.
Bosch AquaStar 2700 ES
This is their second most popular choice and at around $1100 is also one of the more expensive heaters in the market. You however get a machine that gives you around 7.2 Gallons Per Minute of water which is sufficient to have three showers running at the same time. You also get up to $1500 in federal tax credits if you go with this model with up to 30% off on purchase and installation. Although it is a little on the expensive side, it is the best one if you want to have a single heater for your entire house. In fact most buyers are large families who need the additional flow rate. This is also a really good replacement for your storage water heater because it can take care of all your needs. In fact it has a feature that will prevent freezing of the water at up to 5 °F which makes ideal for almost all regions.
Bosch PowerStar AE125
This model is not as popular as the above two for two reasons. One is that it runs on electricity while the other is that it is not very large capacity. For the same price as the 2700 you get a machine that gives you only 3.7 GPM which is very low when compared to the former model. You also do not get any tax credits with this model because you are still using only electricity. This model is however very useful as a last mile heater. For example if you have a larger heater in the basement powered by gas in your basement, you can use this one to heat the water just enough so that you can take a shower. You obviously cannot keep changing the setting for the entire household whenever you want to shower so having this one is a better idea.
You can never go wrong with a Bosch and whichever model you go with you will still get a very good one. It is just up to you and what your needs are to choose which one you need.
